Basically Ami

Ami's style could best be described as "whimsical eclectic," perhaps a variant of freestyle. She loves layering, doodling, clustering, inking and distressing. She also loves adding the unexpected to her creations and scrapping all aspects of her life, from the happy moments to the challenges. Ami especially loves scrapping the everyday.

Staff Designer. Blog Coordinator.
Into the Crazy Blue

Papercrafting has always seemed like a natural outlet to Amy. Her Grandma Helen made scrapbooks for each of her five grandchildren and so she grew up thinking it was just what people did to document memories and create art. When scrapbooking really came of age, she was excited to see all the new and different products being offered. That has not changed! She has been married for ten years to her husband Levi and they have two amazing kids along with two indescribable felines.

Living The Altered Life

Candy was told she was born with scissors in her hands and when she found glue and paper, that is when the fun began. She has been paper crafting for over six years now and can spend hours cutting intricate paper patterns, it is very therapeutic.

Her style is vintage, extremely layered and tends to be deep browns, sepia and oranges. She collect vintage items, dress forms, buttons, ephemera, little product boxes and advertisements and sharing product and companies with our readers.

Scraps of Life

Crafting has been a way of life for Cathy for as long as she can remember. Her mother taught her to sew, her grandmother introduced her to paint and decoupage and her aunt passed along a passion for stitchery and antiquing. Roll all of this together with her love of photography and Cathy has become a mixed-media artist who loves to weave memories into everything she makes. Paper crafting with both traditional and digital supplies has been the backbone of Cathy's art for the past several years. While she loves to work in the digital world, her addiction to scissors and glue has helped her grow as a hybrid artist. When she is not busy creating, she spends her time supporting families that live with autism and spreading the word to raise awareness. She is married to a super supportive husband and is mom to 3 busy teenage men. They also have 3 cats, 2 dogs and a bird.

Joana Studer

Joana Studer

Staff Designer. Digital. Hybrid.
Ink Stained Hands

Joana has been paper crafting since 1995 and creating digital scrapbook pages since March of 2010. While she loves the neatness of digital scrapbooking, she still likes to cut and glue and enjoys mixing printed digital papers with traditional paper crafting items such as buttons, ribbons, and rhinestones. Before she became a mom, she was a wedding photographer and an IT liaison for a restaurant company. She is married to her best friend and stays at home with their two children full-time. She dabbles in other crafts: sewing, knitting, crochet, and jewelry making, but preserving her memories of and for her family is her passion.

Scrappin' My Memories...One Page at a Time

Kelly Jo likes to look at the glass as half full. She believes things happen for a reason. She adores her family. Her favorite place in the world is on any beach on Cape Cod. She thinks that all of these things contribute to her scrappin’ style and come through in her projects. She is also mildly obsessed with sharks and ghosts, but hopes to never meet either.

Kristie Taylor

Staff Designer. Paper.

The Scrapinator

Kristie Taylor has been scrapping for nine years and enjoys everything about this amazing hobby. She serves on a few different design teams because she loves to stay busy and enjoys sharing her love for paper arts with others. She likes to use lots of texture and layering on her pages and almost always add either inks or paints. She does not think anyone can fit into a specific "style." Kristie believes that everyone evolves and changes with time and experience. However, if she had to choose, she would name her style is "shabby-distressed-bling." Kristie is also mom to four awesome kids ages 26, 15, 11 and 11. She has been married to her best friend, David, for 16 years. He is very supportive of her scrappy addiction and even maintains her blog for her.

LeAnn Scacco

LeAnn Scacco

Staff Designer. Digital.

Half-techie/half-artistic mind lives a double-life as a dot-com database guru by day and wife/mommy/scrap-artist by night. Can often be found flipping through thousands of photos or obsessively looking for that one, "right" element to use in a layout. Makes occasional forays into the hybrid world, but LOVES the "undo" button. Confesses to only printing photos when they're included in a layout.

Creative Musings

Michelle has been passionate about art and crafting since childhood. In fact, she remembers getting in trouble when she was seven years old because she kept catching paper on fire while trying to heat emboss on the gas stove. Now, she has better tools and feels very blessed to have a truly amazing husband and a wonderful and talented son that continue to encourage her creative passions. Her scrapbooking style is classic with sprinkles of trends and techniques that intrigue her thrown in the mix. She enjoys teaching classes and watching the creative spirit come alive in others. She is the National Scrapbooking Examiner and DC Paper Craft Examiner for Examiner.com, a Certified Ranger Educator, and an Endorsed Educator for Basically Bare.

Staff Designer. Paper.
Distress to Impress

Rebecca has been scrapping for five years. She has been told, however, that she has been creative from the moment she could grasp a crayon. She does believe she has an artist's soul. She enjoys creative pursuits from singing and writing, to painting, jewelry making and of course paper crafting. She is the proud momma of two. Her daughter Rylie is five and her son Mason is three. They are happy when she pulls out her camera. They love posing for her and always ask "Are you going to scrap that Mommy?" She is molding them into tiny artists as well. Their favorite pastime is to sit and scrapbook with her. Sharing with them is what this hobby is all about for Rebecca.

Tania Shaw

Tania Shaw

Staff Designer. Digital.
Pixels n' Glue

Tania began scrapbooking in 2005 and although she likes to get messy with scissors and glue, digital scrapbooking is her true crafting love. She's designed pages for many digital artists as well as several large digital stores. Scrapbooking, for Tania, is all about telling a story and it's not unusual to find more journaling than embellishments on any given page. When she's not scrapbooking, Tania can be found knitting and needle felting for her Etsy store, maintaining and designing websites for clients, driving her kids to this activity and that, eating the delicious food her awesome husband makes and trying to learn to use her camera better. In between all that, she works as a Project Coordinator for a not-for-profit company with some of her favorite people in the world.

The family spent their early years together in the United States Air Force, stationed in Arizona, Florida and Michael spent a year in Korea. Terre misses the military life but does not miss her husband being gone for a year at a time. Wendy Crafts

Wendy Crafts

Staff Designer. Paper. Altered Art.

The self-proclaimed Queen of Crafting, Wendy began crafting as a child, influenced by her mom who encouraged her and taught her many types of crafting (probably to keep her out of trouble!). She got hooked on scrapbooking when it first became popular in the 1990's. She loves experimenting with paper, glue, paint and glitter and trying new things. Her style is always evolving. She is currently drawn to a distressed, vintage, retro, shabby chic vibe. Most weekends, she sneaks out to play with her other crafty friends, but she also loves being outdoors, photography, going to the beach, camping, geocaching, listening to music, board games and surfing Facebook and Pinterest. She is a wife, mom of four and lives in San Diego.

Whit Pilcher

Whit Pilcher

Staff Designer. Digital
The Randomness That Is Me

Deadly with scissors and glue, Whit gave up hope of ever being crafty in any form, but when she discovered digital scrapbooking six years ago it was a match made in heaven. No more pictures tragically lost to a battle with scissors, nothing glued to furniture or body parts.

Whit loves to capture and scrap the craziness of every day life with her husband, three kids (ages 6, 8, and 13), three cats and two dogs. When she's not scrapping, Whit enjoys a good book, catching a good movie with the family, gaming and, always, taking photos.
